I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN TOLD THAT I HAVE THIS VERY FRUSTRATING PROBLEM CALLED URTICARIA AND I AM CHECKING OUT ALL THE INFO I CAN. I'VE JUST HAD BLOODWORK TAKEN YESTERDAY AND SHOULD HAVE SOME RESULTS SOON. THIS ITCHING AND SCRATCHING IS GETTING ON MY LAST NERVE!!! I HAVE TAKEN ALLERGY MEDS (OVER THE COUNTER) FOR SEASONAL ALLERGIES THAT I DIAGNOSED MYSELF.(SUDEFED FOR A FEW YEARS ON AND OFF) NOW I AM TAKING ZYRTEC TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME, ONCE A DAY . HERE ARE MY SYMPTOMS: SUDDENLY ITCHY SKIN THAT IS RED ON THE OUTER AREA AND WHITE THROBBING ON THE INSIDE SWELLING AND THROBBING (LIKE THAT OF A BROKEN BLOODVESSEL) FORMING AN AREA THAT LOOKS LIKE STRECHMARKS AND MOSQUITOS BITES HAVING A "GET TOGETHER". IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND RELIEF. I CAN TOUCH MY FACE OR BODY AND INSTANTLY THE PLACE BECOMES RED AND/OR SWOLLEN. ANY TYPE OF PRESSURE MAKES THIS HAPPEN, SOME OF THE TIME. THIS IS WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND. THE FIRST TIME I SAW A NURSEPRACTIONER, I REALLY TRIED TO GET AN ITCH STARTED UP BUT IT JUST DIDN'T HAPPEN. (THAT'S JUST LIKE WHEN OUR CAR ACTS UP LADIES) WHY DO THESE SYMPTOMS COME AND GO? IS THERE SOMETHING WE ALL HAVE IN COMMON? I'M NOT COMPLAINING WHEN THEY GO , BELIEVE ME!!!
