Hi, I too have an impacted wisdom tooth. This type of affliction runs in my family. Problems that you can not immagine can/have occcur/ed in the removal of these and other well 'rooted', teeth in my family. Some have resulted in serious life long dehabilitating problems. I have still got my wismon teeth. After watching all kinds of horror stories with members of my immediate family I've decided as painful as they may be I'm stuck with them.. If you're tooth/teetg is/are impacted, as as mine, upon nerves may I suggest you get a second opinion BEFORE you remove the tooth/teeth and if you then decide to remove the wisdom tooth got to someone that is a specialist in such serious removal procedure/s. It will cost a bundle but as with any of my extractions it's worth it!! I am in the process of finding such a removal dostor as I want my teeth all removed in spite of the fact they are all in very good shape, except for the impacted wisdom teeth, before they eventually lead to my demise simply because I have seen folks go to the dentist for extractions and end up in a box a few days later. When in advancing years the extraction shock is more than one can stand. Since I'm 74 yaqers young I hope to get this done and escape, for a while, the bone yard that awaits us all Painful as it may be from time to time I have learned what meds work to alleviate the pain and tolerate the gradual loss of hearing and have learned to live with these discomforts. In wish you well, good luck! ..;-)..
