June***** My situation was different than your daughter's in that I did respond to treatment. Don't give up because new treatments are being worked on and she may still find one that helps her. You mentioned that your daughter was fired from her job because she missed so much work. If her employer knew that she has Hep C and fired her than you need to have her see an attorney. Once an employer is notified of this condition and they fire someone she would have a good case becuase once the employer is notified you are then covered under the Americans with disabilities Act. You and your daughter can find support which is very much needed so she won't feel all alone with this. If you live in a large city check with her doctor, hospitals to see if there is a support group in your area. If there is a teaching hospital around that would be excellent. I have found a support group in at a local hospital which is sponsored by a teaching hopsital. Each month the members meet and every few months a professional comes to share
