I was diagnosed with depression three times now. Once when I was 18, then at 27 and then again at 30. I was diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder about 2 years ago. Then that finally led to anxiety disorder. I'm taking Celexa, Topamax, Clozaril, and for the anxiety I'm taking Lorazepam and Buspar. I don't feel the Celexa; which is supposed to help lessen my depression is doing anything at all for me. I told my psychiatrist last week but he says I'm on a good dose (40mg/day). With Clozaril, you have to have your blood taken every other week. You cannot get your Clozaril until the doctor sends the results to your pharmacy. I've been trying to get off of this drug for quite a while now. It's a real big hassle and it doesn't do anything for me. As for the Topamax, it's supposed to control my weight. Well, it doesn't. I'm really losing hope here. I've tried basically every drug out there. Plus, I'm looking for another psychiatrist. Any advise on any other forms of therapy or medicine for my condition? Also, know of any support groups in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, IL? Waiting for a reply.
