My aunt also has cellulitis. She has congestive heart failure and is overweight. The cellulitis causes her to swell mostly in her legs. She also has polymyasia. Anyways, keeping her legs elevated is helpful, but keeping her in bed with a regimen of two hours in bed, 15 minutes up, two hours in bed, etc. and a full night in bed seems to work the best. She also has had to regulate her salt intake. She can have 2,000 mg per day. She is on many medications and an antibiotic when her legs are "leaking" fluid or blood. There is no quick fix. Another thing that works in wrapping her legs with ace bandages daily. She has a visiting nurse to do that. They tried stockings, but she can't stand the pain associated with the illness and it tears the skin and causes more seepage. Anyways, good luck with your grandmother. There are cellulitis experts out there, but they mainly check the problem. It doesn't seem curable.
