I'm sorry that we cannot e mail each other. I wish I had known about the undescended testicle problem, my son and I went into it almost blind. I did not mind having to sign the consent for the orgiectomy because I am a nurse and was able to make some fast assumptions that it would not make much of a difference but I found it very difficult to deal with the OR staff who thought it was inhumane to do this. As it turned out the testes although small and possibly dysfunctional were not "abnormal" so they were not removed. According to my son, small is still there and at present he is quite content. The next thing we have to deal with is fertility. Since my son is now 18, he is trying to deal with this on his own and yet I feel that as a nurse, I was not getting enough information to feel comfortable with decisions that have to be made, I wonder how my young son will be able to deal with the problems which may be looming ahead.
