Hello all, I am posting this message in hopes off finding the drug my doctor had mentioned to me that is supposedly or possibly can help cure this disease. How I had it mentioned to me, was when I was at my specialist, I asked is there just a miracle drug or something to take this pain away from me doc? I am sick and tired of living, and looked at, as some disease! You see why I asked is cause this was like my second visit after suffering with this pain for about 15 yrs. Why so long you asking yourself? Well I was, stubborn, and bull headed being a Taurus and I did not have any insurance and was not making good enough money to acquire some. It was something I figured that would go away eventually anyways. What started out in the low back was very painful I could barely walk. A chiropractor relieved the pain with traction within a few visits, enough to be able to get around at least. I have had to forget about any kind of sports and talk about what a dramatic change that has been for me I still cry and long for the day for just one more time to be able to show how good at the things I once was. Instead I have to watch everyone else and say well I use to, and could a, while everyone looks at you quietly agreeing thinking to them self surrrrre you could. Anyhow ill quit rambling its just my frustration coming out of me and I am not aloud to talk this way or its just a pity party I am throwing according to my better half who says she can relate but I cant tell!!! OK so I asked and he said to me there is a drug that is supposes to work but the FDA has not approved it yet. I believe he did say yet or could be dreaming again, but that they are trying to get it approved and said something that he would try to get me, or it qualified. I really did not understand and I feel stupid when I ask to explain for a third time after still not getting it the second time. Therefore, I just do not ask again its some kind of male pride I have, to help myself from being looked at dumb too. After all he is the dr. right? (Or are they)! I mean it sounded to me like well they will approve it to ones that qualify for it being I guess you have to be at a stage so bad there is no other help or reason not to try it. (I do not no), maybe he was just referring to the med association of approving it in general. He did not bother to tell me clearly enough, nor the name of it, when I asked what it was called; instead, he looked at me as if he could not tell me it, cause it is illegal to obtain or something. Hell I do not care if it is illegal tell me the name and I will do whatever it takes to try to get it for myself. I have not been able to turn my head or look up and down for over 7 yrs now and cant lift my right arm to wash my hair and my left is now starting to give me problems. When I lay down on my back, my head is about 6 inches off the floor. I cannot sleep on my sides more then 10 min without my hips killing me. I was taking 16- 200 mg ibuprofen a day or more, very seldom less then that for the last 14 yrs of my life. Until now I am taking arthrotec and it works about the same, and now I am about to start some other drug pain killer anti-inflammatory he has prescribed. Boy, I hope my stomach can handle it. I do not know how my liver has handled the ibu but I thank god that he has at least let it, and some days I wish, he had not. Has anyone ever tried a floatation tank before? I have not been able to find one but a friend mentioned about one to me before. It sounded good to try, to me, that’s if I could find one, since I cannot float worth a crap on my own in the pool! I am 35 yrs old going on 70 if I take my medicine and a 100 without. I know all about the exercise stuff so you can save mentioning it and am a firm believer in it to help maintain or progressing to some degree. I just think that they should be able to laser off, bone fusion, technology should be past that, it seems, but its not! At least I have not heard of it. Ok l am done blabbing now and I am sure yell are wondering when am I going to shut up, and I do apologize. I am just wondering if anyone knows, what the Dr. is talking a bout. Which drug that is? Oh yea to those out there try not to have any serious type accidents if you know you have this disease, it can really speed up the process fast, trust me!
