Gee, I wonder if she thinks she is dying because of her bleeding? My daughter started her periods about the same time and did just fine. It sounds like something more than just hormones to me, but not being a Dr., I suggest monitoring her very closely. Does she truly understand that having periods is a growing stage in her life and not an ending stage? I did not notice tremendous changes in attitude with my daughter due to hormones till she was about 13 even though she started her periods at the age of eleven. You have probably already discussed the changes that our occuring to her body, but maybe you might try explaining again and letting her know that this change just means that she is growing into a young lady and NOT dying!
