I have reaccuring symptoms(1 to 2 yearly). Initially I have a fever accompanied by aches and pains in evey joint in my body,high temperature and profuse perspiration. I have worked in various countries in the mid-east and South East Asia. I first became ill in Southern Yemen. The symptoms last for 3/4 days,during which I am mostly bed ridden,then disappear again for 1 maybe 2 years maybe somewhere in between,I can never predict. I have been ill once more this last week. My Doctor does not know what it is but tells me it is not malaria. So what is it? Any suggestions would be very gratefully received.
