this may be nothing at all to do with your sons problem,just it reminds me of me and my son. I am british,and moved to saudi arabia,i noticed that my fingers and bottoms of my feet start peeling when they weather changes,my son also who was born and lived in the uk but is now in saudi has the same problem. yet my daughter who was born and lived in saudi doesn't. we put it down to do with the temperatures changing as it is always at the beginning of new seasons. Just thought maybe if you had recently changed climates,it may have something to do with it....otherwise sorry,and hope you find out what it is :0)
