Hello, I have toyed, over & over, with the question of the Photoderm or the Candela V Beam until now. From what I read, the Photoderm is the better laser - although the V Beam is excellent, too. The main advantage of the V Beam laser is that it is able to treat facial blood vessels without bursting of the skin & skin bruising. The Photoderm is able to treat blood vessels at 'different depths.' This is where Photoderm has no rivals - but you must have a very experienced dermatologist - who has used the Photoderm extensively. Please read Dr. Geoffrey Nase's book, Beating Rosacea....Vascular, Ocular & Acne Forms. It is a wonderful 'brand new' book --- and compares all the lasers....& talks about the Photoderm vs the V. Beam. Dr. Nase is a Micro - 'vascular' doctor --- and Rosacea is a 'vascular' problem - not a skin problem. He also talks about what he did & how He managed to get 'his' Rosacea under control. You have to live, I believe, with Rosacea to understand it -- and He does! This book is worth every penney!! It has 'all' the answers & suggestions (medically stated) to anything you can think of concerning Rosacea...plus His day to day living with Rosacea. We Rosacea sufferers sure know all about that!! It was like reading my life history! Good Luck. Ang.
