You can petal your daughter's cast by taping the edges, especially around the excretory areas.Make sure the tape covers at least three inches on the outside and fold in the same amount into the inside of the cast.Also make sure the tape overlaps. Insert a diaper within the cast opening. This technique is also used around the chest and any other rough edges to prevent skin irritation.
