I am nurse in learning disabilities in England. EEG's will often pick up little or nothing when there are carried out over a short period of time. How long was your son's EEG? Our Epilepsy specialist at Uni has been encouraging us to push for 24 hour EEG's for our clients, as these will often pick up far more. One of our clients who has many seizures showed up nothing on his EEG's until he had a 24hr one and the most activity was on waking. The drugs they prescrbe will control some seizures, sometimes all, but it is really difficult to get it absolutely spot on, this may be why your son is still having tremors even tho he is on Tegretol. Speak to your dr. and the consultant ask them loads of questions and keep pushing them to investigate further. Good Luck
