Hello, I had a huge aortic aneurysm just below my kidneys and had to have surgery to have this corrected. Unfortunately when they went in to do the op they found that I had to have the graft from the kidneys, right down into both legs (called in this country 'a trouser graft'. After the op, there is some pain for a while, BUT, THE BENEFITS ARE WONDERFUL. I can walk, run, play with the grandchildren, in fact everything I could do before the op. All the pain that I had had previous to the op has gone. I had this operation in 1987, and am still going strong, and still feel able to do anything I want to do. Good luck in your surgery - I am sure you can only feel better after it. Anne
