I was hit by a car as a child and suffered tramtic injury to my left leg, breaking both bones in my leg, causing one to come out the back of my leg. It's been suggested by a few of my many doctors that I suffered from Compartment Syndrome. The dr that took care of me after the accident did not do a simnple test to check. The drs that took care of me after this dr are not positive I suffer from it because they did not treat me in the beginning. From what I've heard, it's a very serious problem that only worsens if not taken care of in 6 hours or less. It causes muscles damage that can not be repaired. Today, I have no live muscle in the lower back side of my leg. (Fibula, I think). The test is to check the pressure in my leg. It's similiar to that used to check blood pressure. I hurt all the time and I am unable to do a lot of the things I used to do. Has anyone else suffered from this? If so, what have you done? THANK YOU!!!
