I agree, doctors should have e-mail in their offices particularly if they are providing care for patients who suffer chronic pain. In the past year I have corresponded with my Dr many times to arrange appointments, provide updates on my physical condition as well as to let her know when my medication was running low. This means of communication saved many hours of waiting in her office as well as freeing up a great deal of time for her to see patients whose problems require personal diagnosis. E-mail is not the end all be all, however, for those of us with chronic conditions it is definitely appreciated.
