Fifteen years ago because of a stomach virus I kept throwing up and ruptured a blood vessel in my esophogas. I lost considerable blood and was taken to a hospital. My blood type was not available so the doctor, slowly over three days, put water into my veins to build my blood pressure back up. For those three days I was borderline anemic. The fourth day I went home and within hours my toes becan hurting badly. After a few months the toe pain disappeared but since then my toes have been numb. Another doctor said it was because the borderline anemia had killed the nerves in my toes. Blood circulation in your toes is the poorest of any part of your body. There is no remedy for the numbness.
