My daughter is 29 years old and has just been told that she has Bi-polar. She was very active when she was in school, she ran track and was always on the go. She has many friends and very out going. Later on she started having spells where she would get so tired and wanted to do nothing at all, but sleep. She said that she was so tired. She got to the point that she didn't want to see her friends, or even talk to them on the phone. She had mood swings. She would go into this deep depression and would'nt hardly eat. Then she would regain her energy and be on top of the world again. She would spend all of her money and go out and dance and seem real happy...Then get depressed and tired again. She is a beautiful person but, we couldn't figure out what the problem was for so long. She also started thinking that she was sick and needed pain medication alot. Finally the doctor told her that she has been suffering with a mental condition called manic depressive disorder. She has been on medication for 10 months now and is finally doing so much better in her life. She doesn't take pain pills anymore and she is learning about her illness. At first she was ashamed of having this illness, She denied having it. Later she decided to get help and has met others with the same illness. Doctors, nurses, and many others and finally excepts the fact that she doesn't have to feel ashamed. You treat it like any other illness and take your medication to get well. Please take care of yourself and maybe this isn't what your problem is at all, but I wanted to share this with you because it sounds alot like my daughter. I hope this will help you somehow.
