My child's pediatrician diagnosed my daughter with Scarlet Fever on Monday. On Teusday she was covered in a red raised rash on her extremities. The strep came back as Strep B, not Strep A (which would verify Scarlett Fever), and her nurse told me the rash was a virus. She spoke to the Dr. and they came back saying the skin rash was only a secondary infection due to the Strep B. I know I need to change Dr.s after this because they really don't know what the skin rash is, but I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of a skin rash from Strep B.
