I have had eczema on my feet and hands for about 14 months. The dermatoligists (2) gave me different cortisone creams to use, but they tell me to stop using them after 4 weeks because it is not good to use them for longer than that. They also told me to use Elta Tar lotion which seems to help. The problem is when I quit using the cortisone, the eczema comes back stronger than ever with itching, burning, scaly skin, all the usual. I have also noticed a significant loss of hair since I was diagnosed. Does anyone have any other suggestions to calm the rashes besides cortisone and is the hair loss due to too much cortisone? What can I do to thicken my hair? Is there a cure for eczema or do I have to live with it the rest of my life?
