When I was a young child I was taken to the doctor to have what my parents thought to be lumps in the back of my neck, just below my head. These lumps would appear to be swollen. The doctor advised they were glands. Somehow it became appartent that when I would get bitten by mosquito rather than the bite swelling like for most the swelling would appear in these glands. Where the mosquitos would bite, there would never be a mark.
