These very bad leg cramps come at night and wake me up. They occur sometimes in the top of the legs sometime in the bottom of the legs. They seem to last longer and longer. What can cause these at night and what can be done to stop them. I have not consulted a doctor. I am on no medication of any kind. I do take vitamins - daily mens vitamin, vitamin E, a bayer aspirin, and at the present time Vioxx 25 mg for a heel spur. These night cramps were happening before I began taking Vioxx. My age is 66.
