Last week my PCP found a lump in my rt breast. I had a mammogram done and saw the surgeon the next day. He did a fine needle biopsy. I found out today that is was benign. However, he still wants to remove the lump to be sure. What does this entail? He stated it can be done in his office. Is it just a quick procedure? do they send the lump out for a pathology report? I see him on Wednesday, his nurse would not give me any details over the phone.
