My wife is 12 weeks pregnant and had to spend 4 days in the hospital because of a blood clot in her leg. The doctors have put her on Lovenox (100mg/ml daily) injections for rest of the pregnancy and even after the pregnancy she has to take pills for 6 more months. The discovery of the blood clot and the seriousness of this has put a lot of stress on both of us. Six and a half months on injections is a long time. Could you please tell us if this is our only option? Is it OK to go through with the pregnancy? Does my wife has to limit her activities and does she need to take any precautions? As far as we know, it could get worse. In that case what are the symptoms that we should watch for? Any help in this matter will be highly appreciated
