I too have scoliosis, I'v had it since I was 13. I went to a chiropractor for two years it really straighten my back out the only problem is that I'm now 30 and my scoliosis has returned. Strenthening you abs is a great idea it supports the spine. I haven't had any surgeries and I've heard of one and they didn't tell her the rods they put into her spine to straighten her back were suppose to be removed. Now all these years later she has had numerous surgeries and has had to have her entire spine fussed together, the whole spine she says that she can't bend over to good but for now she doesn't have much pain. I hope you think hard about surgery and look for other options. Good Luck.
