I recently had a 'routine' colonoscopy in which the Dr. scraped my colon during the procedure and I ended up with septicimia, E-Coli in my blood stream. I was put on antibiotics, Levequin, and released a week ago. On Friday, I had an episode where I got weak, dizzy and clammy. I laid down and the paramedics were called. They determined that my blood pressure was 105/72 while sitting and 98/70 while standing. Even though I am normally take two medicines for hypertension. I was driven home and I went to my internist, who took me off my BP medicine and I have been off since Friday (2 1/2 days). My BP is still low for me at 130/89 sitting but it is 105/75 while standing and I still feel a little unstable while standing. What is going on here and how did my hospital visit cause this???? Thanks
