i am an 18 yr/old student and just went through a hydrocelectomy five days ago. my doctor made the incision on the right side of my scrotum sac w/ four stitches. He gave me eight Hydrocodones (Lortabs) for the post prescription. Knowing i would be in severe pain the following day i did not take any the first day and a half. i have since taken one 1/4 pill two times per day. This rationing not only increased the pain but even now i am out of medication. I was curious as to the normal amount of medication given after a surgery of this caliber. Some other men who have undergone this surgery said they were given much more. Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.
