I don't remember how old I was but I started having alot of abnormal periods. I went to the Doctor and had a pap smear done. That came back abnormal and another more invasive one needed to be done. That came back showing that I had "Carcinoma In-Stu" which means cancer with micro invasion. I had a complete hysterectomy done as well as the removal of limph nodes. The nodes were sent to pathology and testing showed that the cancer did not spread to the nodes. Now all pap smears I have done are always normal and I no longer have a period. Which I am very happy about. Please understand that cervical cancer is easy to get rid of and is not a life or death type cancer.
