I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter and what happened. God only knows why. I myself had 2 aneurysms from the discovery of them to the final surgery was 3-12-01 to 5-29-01. never did they burst. One of them that I had was huge 10x11. Drs. said I had it for a long time because there were calcium deposits on it. Drs. also told me that only 3 percent of aneurysms ever burst or leak. which means 97% will never bother anyone and you live your life unchanged. Of course when they are found Drs. say operate because they don't know if your in the 3% bracket. They also said that the bigger they are the greater the chances for a rupture. Honey with my whole soul how is anyone even the "experts" going to know how when and where is it going to happen. What is so unfortunate is that if a aneurysm doesn't burst or leak we that have them all seem to have to go thru a stage of test after test after test topped with Drs. appts. and we put that trust in our drs. that they know. I with all my heart am sorry your daughter didn't have the same outcome I am having I guess that even the birth of a baby has its own stamp of being different each time, so are we with our woes. I truly hope the outcome for her and you has been blessed Carol
