I am a 34 year old black female who has recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Recently is developed cellutitis in my left index finger from what my rheumatologist suggests is vasculitis. I had an angiogram of my left arm which showed poor arterial circulation to the smaller arteries in my fingers. I've also has a CT Scan of my thorax,abd,and pelvis which was normal. My Rheumatologist wants to try a new durg treatment called Aprostadil which is supposed to alleviate this peripheral vasculitis. Also all of my lab work has been normal including my ANA and rheumatoid factors. My drug thearay for my rhematoid symtoms have include Medrol,trental baby asa. I have not been able to tolerate Arava and Enbrel,which is a very hard drug to get has not been tried so far. If there is anyone who could add information to what is happening with me, I would appreciate a reply. I am very frustrated even though I have trust in my Rheumatologists, they seem frustrated about what to do for me also.
