I have a friend who has just gone through his 8th week of recovery from a hip replacement. When he started walking, the leg with the hip replacement was noticeably longer. When he went to the surgeon, he was told that the leg must have been longer to begin with and he would need to purchase a lift for the shorter leg. Has anyone heard of this? It seems that they would have cut the pin so both legs would be equal. Thanks for any information.
