Stomach migraine

This is for the lady whose granddaughter with the stomach migraine diagnosis. Next time she has the stomach pain, take her to ER and ask that her intestines be x-rayed to see if she has a partial bowel blockage. I suffered for 4 years before they properly diagnosed my condition. The vomiting releaved the pressure on the blockage and wasn't found until I went to the ER with violent vomiting just 4 hours after being in the doctors office with severe abdominal pain. I documented 17 blockages, 3 hospitalizations and 1 ER visit while on vacation. I found a surgeon that specialized in laprascopic surgery. When I wasn't distended with a blockage, he did an exploratory laprascopic and clipped the adhesions off my small intestine. It was out-patient surgery! Adhesions (scar tissue) can be caused by a lot of things. The adhesions had grown together and caused small loops in my small intestine so the food would not go through and backed up into my stomach. Certain foods often triggered a blockage; rice, pop-corn, wheat bran cereals or dry foods. So I had to drink 8 to 12 glasses of water every day to keep my intestines hydrated. If it's not a blowel blockage, see a food alergist. Good luck. I haven't had any problems and can eat without the fear of a blockage.
