I have pain only in the urethra that is real bad. The bladder aches a little but there is not sharp pain. The uro did a vaginal and found the exact spot of the pain. he then did a hydro and a biopsy which said it was mild IC and had hemmorages. This uro. said that hemmorages and biopsy don't always mean IC. The uro. said that he is not sure I have IC even though I have this pain and urgency and has me on Keflex. I have taken it for 6 weeks at 3 week intervals-when I get off for 24 hours I am in pain again -when I am on them I feel much better. THere is no sign of infection in urine. I really don't know what is wrong with me. He also thinks I might have urethral syndrome. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Oh and i developed this after hysterectomy and bladder repair(prolapse). after 5 months it was pretty good but not perfect and a uro did a cysto in office and checked the bladder and urethra-ever since then(about 4 months ago I have had this horrible pain in the urethra) what could have happened?
