I have had an MRI and xrays that say I have bursitis and bone spurs. I am an equestrian and manage a 360 acre farm. I am on my feet at least 10 to 12 hours a day. Since Christmas '00, I have had severe hip pain. I have had two cortisone injections which have relieved pain for about one day.My pain has gone from a snapping feeling to a pain that feels like I'm walking on bone.I couldn't run if I had to. Walking hurts worse than riding a horse. The pain feels like a 'tooth ache'. I have tried Celebrex, Vioxx, Ultram. The only thing that sorta works is about 1600 mgs. of motrin a day. Proproxy works if I take more than the prescribed. My mother has had both hips replaced and her father had one hip replaced in the '50's. I did eight sessions of physical therapy which would pinch my sciatic nerve once in a while. I do try to do the stretches as I feel I need it at home. The pain does wake me at night. It will sometimes be relieved if I sit down. I'm getting to where walking is a major chore!
