I have had DDD for 15 years and i've tried everything from tens units, chiros,accupuncture,inversion swing, facet injections and epidurals and more. One new technology is called IDET,they insert a coil around your disc and heat the disc'you can find IDET on the Web.I was not a candidate because of to many bad discs the doctors name is Derby in Colma Calif.There is another procedure called VAX D,countries that have nationalized medicine use this procedure alot before considering any sugery. You Lay on a table with a brace strapped on and hold onto handles with the brace strapped to a computor generated hydralic system that gives you short pulls to decompress your spine,The Doctors name is Dr Talte in Wansonville Calif. Shes a wonderfull and caring doctor.I've also had prolotherapy which is a series of injections of dextrose in all the areas that you have pain and it causes your body to go in and do its own healing,thats the best way I can explain it.I'm now seeing a Dr.Eck in Santa Barbara Ca.In conjuction with Dr Talte who is doing Glucosamine Injections directly into my discs and am hoping to finally find relief as I take Dilaudid for my pain which is a narcotic. Some procedures work for some people and some dont but you have to keep trying. I hope this info will help someone out there and if anyone knows of any newer technologys I would like to know about them please.
