My partner also contracted herpes from his ex and neither of us knew he had it until I came down with a primary outbreak. We had been tested for HIV and other STDs and passed before becoming intimate. All I can say is that we have a very close emotional and physical relationship. I get alittle bogged down by the outbreaks I have, but it has not affected desire or interest on my part or his. We are learning to live with it one day at a time.
