Two years ago after flying to South America from Vancouver, Canada I developed a Portal Vein Thrombosis. I was a very healthy male until this episode in my life. My blood Specialist says that It might had something to do with deep vein thrombosis which sometimes is caused by seating in the same position over a long period of time. After two years of having my life turn to hell I finally had to get a liver transplant in Oct.2000. If it wasns't for the transplant I wouldn't be here today. Anybody out there with similar situation please write back, I live in Vancouver,Canada. I also need to know if anybody knows of any pending lawsuits against airlines regarding DVT. Thank you
