I have very close friend and neighbor. She has a 16-year old son, TJ, who suffers from muscle spasms in the calves and upper leg. They can cause great pain. Also sometimes he loses consciousness for a brief moment and will become upset. He has visited several neurologists in the area. He has had a muscle biopsy and other tests. No one can say for sure what the problem is. He was tested for MS and the test came back negative. Can a boy 16 get ALS? This child is a good kid..no drugs or alcohol involved.
