A month after my moms surgery she started developing a cold that wouldnt go away. She would literally choke on her mucus. She also devoloped a rash over her knee which her doctor said was phlebitis. After many months of switching antibiotics, her choking got so worse we had to take her by ambulance to the hospital. After many tests they said it was a respiratory infection. A week later after another trip to her doctor, they found blood in her urine and when ever she coughed up mucus it was very bloody she ended up back in the hospital with renal failure and her lungs were totally inflamed. After a nose/throat, lung and kidney biopsy they have found it to be wegeners and she is on steroids and they have now started her on the cytoxan. This is so sad to see her go through this. Please if anyone can give any information on this disease or just to talk about it and share stories it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you..
