My son had his first fibrile seizure when he was six years old. When it happened it scared me so bad that I almost panicked. He has had three more since that time, the second one of those being over two years ago, the last one happened tonight. It worries me because the doctor told me he would grow out of them by the time he is nine. He is almost twelve years old. I don't understand these seizures and I'm having a hard time finding out much about them on the net, (i.e. what causes them, can they turn into epilepsy, how dangerous are they, etc.) I feel helpless when he has them, although they are infrequent. I would like some information about them and what I can do to help my son. He had normal CT and EEG's when he was tested two years ago. When should he see a doctor? Can someone please help me?
