I need some advice! I had surgery just before Thanksgiving (2000) and i am still having a lot of pain in and around my chest. I have pain where my incisions are and i am having the sharp pain in my back. I have had 2 pneumos. The second required surgery. After 5 days in the hospital, i went home only to go back the next day because i had developed pneumonia. I recieved antibiotics and went home. But i still have pain. My doctor suggests Tylenol P.M., or ipuprofin, niether work on my pain. Every time i call or see the doctor or nurse, they make me feel like i am lying about my pain or i am just imagining it. That i know is not true. If anyone still has pain after their surgery, almost 3 months after, please let me know how you manage it. I have 2 children and am not sure if this is serious enough to take to the hospital. I am also afraid of being turned away. Let me know if anyone has a answer to help me.
