My husband has MS and has in the past year started having breathing difficulty at night. He chokes and stops breathing approximately 80 times an hour. He sleeps a few hours a night and wakes up for the rest of the night. As a fire inspector, he is exhausted at work and having trouble remembering. Besides the common MS symptoms of numbness all down his head and left side, loss of hearing, spasms, etc. the breathing problem is the worst. The doctors believe it is coming from lesions forming on his brainstem. Has anyone experienced this?
