I have had TN for 4 1/2 yrs. I have always used tegretol. (3per day) My pain levels vary from low to very intense. I work outside in Michigan weather, the cold doesn't really affect it. I have considered surgery to eliminate the pain. I am looking for any information from TN patients who have had the surgery. Need details from "start" to "recovery" any information from experience would be helpful. Looking also for total recovery time and side effects due to surgery. Doctor told me that the surgery could result in paralysis or death. Could someone please supply me with information?
