I also get cold sores/fever blisters. I used to take a drug prescribted for herbes. (oral Tabs) It began with a Z but I can't recall the name. I could check the pharmacy sites for the name. I have resorted to a vitamin remedy that prevents these sores. It's a combo of Lysine and acicodopholis. OR health food stores have one pill that combines both of these vitamins under different names. The one I tried was called Lysidopholis. I found it cheaper to buy the 2 separate and take both.
