I have a fistula and had a rectal and colon doctor perform a procedure of using wire instead of actual surgery. I am to pull on the long wire every night and morning. I had this procedure done 3 weeks ago and recently was checked again. The procedure seems to be working but the pain is constant and especially after a bowel movement. How long can I expect the drainage to take place? and when is the pain going to subside?( I am not on pain pills and the doctors are stating the anal area is healing well but the pain is coming from inside)
