I too have experenced dry eyes after setting and reading a lot, also I wake up at night and am unable to open my eyes for awhile (dry). When this happens I see "white circles" with my eyes closes for a brief while. Just lately I have had a bad cold that has turned to sinus drainage. I wake up at night with my throat and mouth very dry(hard to swallow.) It seems to be getting a little better since my cold has cleared-up. I am post-mediposial and have been having great difficulity with dry skin conditions for 3 years now. I have been to the doctor and used several RX, but still have to be very careful after washing dishes and apply lotions to my hands in order to keep them from cracking open so bad. Something was said about "Lupus!" It runs in my family, my brother and grandfather had Lupus. Could this be related?
