This may be coming too late but I wanted to write with a suggestion. The ONLY way to get rid of lice is to hand pick all of the nits out of your children's hair. The shampoo may say that it kills lice and their eggs, but this is simply not the case. Truly, you will not get rid of lice only by using shampoo. They are getting reinfested because the tiny eggs are continuing to hatch. Also, be sure to wash all bedclothes and sheets, over and over until the eggs are gone, they may be getting reinfested from such places as car seats (you need to vacuum that out) or teddy bears from the bed. It is painstaking to go through the head thouroughly but trust me, that, along with cleaning all clothes and personal items, is the only way! Good luck. I am a teacher who has seen it again and again and who has had it twice now myself. Please trust me that schools can't do much because the reinfestation often comes from the home.
