I have a lesion on my right leg, left of shin, 5 inches frm ankle; std out as a small place, scrubbed off scab in shower & seemed to hv head like boil; became larger, went to doctor, he siad it was a boil; am taking hyperbaric oxygen for another condition, radiation damage to mouth; this seems to help lesion; but, went back to doctor, he then said it was an ulcer and he would send me either to plastic surgeon or wound care clinic; it looks better when I arise in the mornings, but as day goes on, it becomes red and swollen and the center seems to be crusty; several of my HBO physicians seem to think it was a spider bite; one thought diabitis test in order; I will go back to internist next week; this has been going on since 1st of November, 2000; being a cancer survivor; this alarms me; hurts at times; itches at times; do you have any recommendation..thank you...GG
