I am British and live in Germany. Yesterday I was sent to hospital to have x-rays of a very painful, swollen right ankle, with no history of injury.They told me no fractures or ligament damage was seen. I do not speak German very well, but I did pick out the word Lupus. The Dr said I should have some blood tests and an MRI scan in 5 days if the pain and swelling do not subside. Over the past two years I have had 2 episodes of multiple painful mouth ulcers, which were never really explained. Several throat infections and several courses of antibiotics, followed by a long period of rawness to the throat. I had a cystoscope to investigate haematuria. Again no final explanation, and I have had proteinuria for as long as I can remember. I have skin lesions to both sides of my nose which I thought was eczema. And now an inflamed painful ankle with no history of injury. I also suffer from fatigue, which is very frustrating as I am usually very active. These days I get home from work and just can't wait to go to sleep. Any ideas or suggestions?
