This was very interesting to read...I was diagnosed with laryngitis 3 days ago. I had seen te doctor a day and a half after I first noticed that I was loosing my voice. I had heard that laryngitis mainly just affects your voice. For me however, I have such a raw feeling in my throat and I am contantly coughing up stuff which looks like brown mucous (generally common with bronchidis - and I am a smoker which does not help). On the 3rd day, I started coughing up the mucous that I was not able to get rid of when I blow my nose... this is now looking like blood clots. First of all, I have no idea if this is a common occurance with laryngitis. I only noticed that I first started to notice symptoms of a sore throat and funny voice after I inhaled a large quantity of dust. At first, I assumed that the laryngitis was a reaction to my dust allergy or just a modification of the cold I may have caught from my fiance. After reading your posting, I recall that I installed a glade plug into my room 4 days ago. I am not sure if there is any connection but if you hear any news regarding the link from the plug-ins and laryngitis, I would be grateful if you could email me. For now, I am going to unplug the plug-in from the room...and I will see if that helps.
